In 2002 I designed a series of mirrors called Daydreams and for ten years I have been trying to get them into production. I have worked with four different manufacturers and countless factories from the US to Italy to China, yet the project always came to a dead end. It has left me feeling a bit like Ahab. Not wanting to give up, I recently found myself looking at the website of a factory that had made a batch of early prototypes years ago. I noticed they were promoting some new capabilities, exactly the capabilities that I had been searching for! We made made a few new prototypes, refined some details and now everything is perfect. I have found my whale. After ten years, I can finally say I am launching Daydreams. They can been seen at The Future Perfect in Manhattan during ICFF.
